A very busy day of buying and sorting and opening and cheering and winning. That meant a very quick dinner, mostly of the fake Chinese variety.

Between fake Chinese food, my samurai theme'ed card game made by white guys, and my not-bamboo, my partially plastic katanas, I sure have a lot of faux-Asian things in my life.

Today was a nice day. We got together for Mel's birthday, and then we played some games of BSG. This would be Mel and her boyfriend Brad, holding each other, ever so tenderly. All in all, this weekend will end up being pretty awesome it looks like.

A little unhappy right now. The memory card in the camera glitched, and I lost a bunch of pictures. I had some ones I really liked, and thought would turn out really nice. Luckily Brandi lent me her card, so I was able to take some shots. Such as this lady totally taking a picture of her kid falling down on the ice.

Going through my room and emptying drawers and stuff I came across my little treasure box. You know, that little box where you put things that don't really have a place, but you keep because of sentiment? You can see the box and some of the insides here. A lot of necklaces I used to wear, stones when I used to collect them, some pins (both old and new), and the rose I wore when I went to my high school prom. I've taken some time to look at these, and now they're going back in the box and back in the drawer.

Still waiting for a callback to do my next placement. Sort of means I'm stuck here with little to do until they get back to me. If I don't hear by today, means I'll walk down at the end of school and see what's up. Means I've been cleaning out my dresser today, I have a lot of random crap in there.

Took Maggie down to the old tree farm. Place is very nice to go walking, however there's no upkeep anymore since it's no longer used. She loved it, running up and down the paths, making a general fool of herself.

Went down to Fandom today with a terrible deck. Played some cards. Woke up tired, and will probably end the day tired. Apparently I'm not sleeping well since I moved my room around. Not only did I play a terrible Scorpion Clan deck today, I also took a whole bunch of terrible pictures. This picture of Brandi sitting across the table from me was the least offensive.

Really stupid cold out today. And of course I picked today to go out to Rona and pick up some not-bamboo. I kinda like the way the not-bamboo looks, even if it's not bamboo. Apparently it's rather hard to kill it, so that means it should live for a little while in my room. Just felt the need to add something green and alive.

Today I decided to do a picture of myself, taken by me. I was learning how to use the remote to go with my camera. I've also been playing more with photoshop, so I photoshopped it a little bit. Mostly for colour, playing with curves and stuff.

Figured a self portrait was acceptable since I'm actually rather happy right now. I sort of realized that when I was out walking Maggie.
