Summer Court! After getting briefly lost, we were able to find where Mark and Shelby live. They were both incredibly gracious hosts who made sure none of the 10 or so guests needed for anything. Only James, Gilles, Ben and myself stayed over the night.

The two of them live in a very quiet farm area. Thankfully since the massive heat wave broke, we were able to look at all the nice things around without melting and dying as a result.

We went down to the States today. The big plan was to go to Burlington Vermont to stay with Ben, and then down to Fairlee the next day to stay with Shelby and Mark. Of course today is the day that mother nature decided to end her heat attack on us all.

It rained most of the way down, and continued to rain on and off for the rest of the night. It was nice though, really feeling it cool down

The the heat is starting to break, but the humidity is still around. I can't believe I had to turn down a whole week of work for next week, but with every course having a big assignment due next week I just can't accept it. I need to get this work done.

The next couple of updates are going to be late since I am going to the states and will not home to upload the pictures I will be taking.

A day feels much longer when you work for 8 hours then go to school for another 3-4 hours. I'm tired, but not a bad tired. It's a long and busy day but I feel somewhat accomplished by the end.

I can't believe the humidity and heat. It's pretty nuts. Thankfully the daycare is air conditioned. We couldn't let the kids out in the afternoon, so we let them have some water play outside. Muddy slides and spray bottles, sounds like fun!

Also, apparently I let the battery in my camera die and didn't notice. D'oh!

So today it felt up to 45 degrees with the humidity. For those in the US, that means 110 degrees, or so the CBC told me. I really wish I know why we were having this sort of weather this year, this is pretty nuts.

It was nice to not have to do all too much. A little but of laundry, a little bit of school work, a little bit of roleplaying and a little bit of slushy. It sort of got hot though, hopefully it doesn't get too hot. Or it waits till I can spend all day by the pool to get really hot!

Today was a beautiful day and we did the pool thing again. It was too cold on Canada day to really enjoy the BBQ and the pool. Oh man though, do my eyes hurt. Everything is a tad blurry and my eyes burn like crazy.

I don't know where all the kids were, but there were next to none at the daycare today. Our room, which normally has about 30, we had 10. The other group which has the same amount of children had only 5! I guess some parents decided to take a long weekend.

Today was a nice Canada day, very relaxing. Swam around, didn't use the BBQ, and pegged each other with a pink ball with yellow flowers. A good day all around.

Also, today marks the halfway point of the year. We're halfway done 2010 already.
