How is it a day that started so cold can end so pleasant? Also, taught the kids at placement how to play dominion today. It was so cool to see a bunch of them really get it.

Started my placement today. The difference between working in a school and working in a daycare is huge, even if it's school age children I'm working with. Not too thrilled with the split shift either, but I sort of knew I would be doing that when I took this up. I'm a lot less nervous after my placement now after my first day.

Jen has gone home now, with the costume we (read: she) were making. Tomorrow I start my next placement, I'm a little less enthused about this. I haven't been able to shake feeling tired, so I can just hope that I get back into a rhythm and that balances things out.
Meanwhile, we're getting signs of life, from buds on trees to early flowers. Hopefully we don't get that snow they tell us every other day we might get.

Tonight was Phil's birthday party. We had a good time at Boston Pizza. There was a transformer there and Phil loved him.

Jen has been helping me make something. And by helping me make something, I mean I stand around as moral support while she makes it. I'm feeling a little useless, but at least I've been busting in the new Pokemon Game. Isn't that a good use of my time?

Jen is staying with me for a few days, and she's going to help me make a kimono, or something close enough to one to matter. Today we mostly didn't do anything, looking at cards, taking a dog for a walk, and both of us talking to our respective computers.

Jen is coming to stay for a few days. We'll see how much wacky fun we have. Also, got my last placement all set up! YAY! I start next week!

And the streak of nice days continues. Apparently it will end around the weekend and we'll go back to usual seasonal temperatures, but for now I can enjoy it.

I was following some light thrown through the window hanging on our back window, and the rainbow ended up on the face of my dad. I'm sure he won't mind me posting this.
