Downtown was nice today. Wasn't too cold, wasn't too warm. So we played some L5R at Fandom, then a couple of us went around, and walked up Sparks street. Keith's ears got red, and I thought it was funny since I remembered my hat.

I went down to the protest on Parliament Hill today. I'm pretty sure Facebook said it was going to be at 11. However, this sign downtown told me 1 oclock. Considering I was downtown around 9, I wasn't very amused. I wasn't impassioned enough to take part in the protest, but I wanted to see it. In the meantime I explored the gargoyles on the Parliament Buildings, and saw the cats that live in the back.


I did eventually see the protest.

I'm excited we've had a few days of natural light. I've been very excited about about this light. So next week I start my placement in a kindergarden classroom, I'm very excited, And it's close enough I can actually walk there in the morning.

I had a big list of things I wanted to do today:

- Get pants hemmed
- Move dresser from basement to my room
- Clean
- Run the vacuum and dust my room from all the stuff I've kicked around
- Ge my license renewed.
- Play with my Kotei decks a bit
- Go downtown early enough to take some pictures downtown

The first one happened. I got downtown in time to wait for Gilles to get out of the shower so we could go to Fandom.

Today we actually got the sun I was whining about yesterday. Everything seemed a little nicer, from the blue sky to the happily little critters outside, burrowing around in the snow for something to eat.

I'm getting rather tired of it constantly being grey and miserable outside. I don't know why, it doesn't normally bother me, but this year I could just about kill for some sunshine.

Same with this dinosaur here, outside in the cold. As you can see from it's eye, it's a very sad dinosaur because of the weather. Possibly the saddest dinosaur in the entire world.

I love gargoyles, I always have. I have a nice little collection, so much so that a few have moved out of my room and into the rest of the house.

It's been a few years since I've gotten any new ones, but they're all over the place. I remember at one point I named all of them, but I haven't a clue who they are now.

A very busy day of buying and sorting and opening and cheering and winning. That meant a very quick dinner, mostly of the fake Chinese variety.

Between fake Chinese food, my samurai theme'ed card game made by white guys, and my not-bamboo, my partially plastic katanas, I sure have a lot of faux-Asian things in my life.

Today was a nice day. We got together for Mel's birthday, and then we played some games of BSG. This would be Mel and her boyfriend Brad, holding each other, ever so tenderly. All in all, this weekend will end up being pretty awesome it looks like.

A little unhappy right now. The memory card in the camera glitched, and I lost a bunch of pictures. I had some ones I really liked, and thought would turn out really nice. Luckily Brandi lent me her card, so I was able to take some shots. Such as this lady totally taking a picture of her kid falling down on the ice.
